Born into a family of ministers, Dwain Wellington Rattray grew up in the church. He received the Lord Jesus as his personal saviour at age 12 and has been working in various ministry positions in Jamaica, the United States and Canada since then; including positions of Usher, Christian Education Teacher, Youth Ministry, and Evangelism. In 2012 Rattray began serving as the Youth Minister at Durham West Worship Centre.
Starting the thrust of his ministry in the United States where he lived for over 10 years, and now relocated to Canada, Pastor Rattray continues to be about the Lord’s work of soul winning. With a passion for young people and youth work, he continues to be a strong advocate for young people and strives to ensure the youth have a voice in the church. As a youth mentor, Pastor Rattray provides support and encouragement for young people and seeks to ensure youth are involved in a meaningful way in the life, mission and work of the church.
In his professional life, Rattray is a Writer, Editor, and Communication & Media Advisor. He has previously held various writing and editing positions in print and electronic media, and is involved in numerous other projects and community work. Among his duties, is Co-Executive Producer of the Let’s Talk Television Show, on YES TV, and Administrative Liaison to the National Bishop, Woodroe Thompson . Pastor Rattray also served as a member of the Board of Directors at Dr. Roz’s Healing Place—a crisis intervention center for assisting and empowering survivors of domestic violence.
Dwain Wellington Rattray has two children, and currently resides in Markham, Ontario, with his wife, Caroll.
